“People want to be entertained, especially in your marketing. The very worst thing you can be is boring.”
Loved this line… how true it is. In a saturated world of ads, flyers, newsletteer, promotional mailers, what stands out? For me it’s the things that are entertaining marketing that get me. I want something that makes me laugh, something that I enjoy and something that is informative but not boring. There is an ad out there for a “hemorroids” clinic (I don’t know what you call those places… and don’t want to know either!) and their ad is so informative but sooooo boring. If they chose to take a difficult problem and have some fun with it (maybe call it “RoidsAreNotJustInSports.com” !! HA), I might actually be interested in what they have to say… but then again, I hope I never have to!! Wow – this topic is making me uncomfortable!
I have some pictures posted of Judy from this weekend on my blog. I should be putting more up later this evening. I saw on another post you were curious to see what their marketing materials looked like.
