I keep changing the audio version of myself! I started at 7 min at first – then to 5, then to 4 and thought I had it perfect – then my wife reminded “it’s too long!” So I went back and re-recorded at 1m30 and thought, “well, I cut out alot of what I wanted to say, but this is much better” – then Donny said, “no, still too long!” So I’m down to 36 seconds! Perhaps it’s still too long (DV said 15 seconds max!), but I don’t think I’m changing it again.
If you listen to the entire 36 seconds, let me know if you thought it was too long. What’s the attention of people today? This is of course the same question we must ask ourselves when marketing our products in print ads, online, whatever – how long do we have before people skip over and go elsewhere?
I hope you do take the time to listen to this call with Elizabeth, Seth, John and Dave – good stuff!
It was a great call! I urge everyone to listen to the replay.
