CEO
COO
CFO
CMO ?
This afternoon, I ran across a news release about a large national clothing giant hiring their new CMO (Chief Marketing Officer). While larger companies may have the luxury of hiring specialists to handle all-things-marketing, in most small businesses and organizations, marketing is left to whom? This is what the company’s president said about their new hire . . . they want her to:
“. . . introduce excitement and innovation to our marketing strategies that will refresh and solidify the image of this iconic brand.”
OK, a question.
In your business, who will:
INTRODUCE EXCITEMENT
INTRODUCE INNOVATION
HANDLE MARKETING STRATEGIES
OFFER REFRESHING IMAGE
SOLIDIFY THE BRAND IMAGE
If you don’t have a CMO in your business, perhaps you need a Marketing Department – but not a new employee, but one that is On-Call when you need it!
(Go to this site and look for the ON-CALL M.D. logo to discover a solution that might work for you! )
A Chief “Everything” Officer (it’s the new “CEO” term for small business) could certainly benefit from having their very own marketing department. Talk about impressing your clients and showing innovation. This is an EXCITING solution for many organization’s marketing dilemma !! Those guys at 1429Creative can really help!
Most small business owners probably feel like they wear every hat there is, so it’s not a surprise that they would wear the title of “CMO”.
I like the new CEO term . . that is probably what it feels like to most
This is a really great resource for them.

I can relate to the multiple hats that must be worn in the small business arena. I have another issue with the learning curve that comes with “Internet Viral Marketing” We just launched our new site and boy is there a lot to learn, I guess I will have to wear another marketing hat!

Thanks for the comment – hang in there! I enjoy hearing from other marketing folks!
